A Tribute to Robert Redford

That hair, those eyes, and his undeniably off-the-charts charisma — Robert Redford had all the requisite traits for movie stardom. But looks aside, he was a considered craftsman, a multihyphenate artist respected for his well-rounded resume of acting, directing and producing. From Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to the The Way We Were, starring in The Sting to helming Ordinary People and producing series Dark Winds, Redford defined excellence across a six-decade career. He also established the Sundance Institute and the Sundance Film Festival to support up-and-coming creative talent while also fighting climate change. Parade celebrates the life of formidable filmmaker Robert Redford with this photo-filled issue.

I had a chance to add a new essay by David Hinckley, and celebrity tributes, to an existing magazine distributed by a360 Media, originally managed by my friend Caragh Donley. Beautiful cover by Jacqueline Page. You can order one directly here.

Farewell to an Icon: David Bowie, Who Jan. 25, 2016

I was proud to work with the WHO team to put together this tribute to David Bowie. 48 hours was not a lot of time to process how influential Bowie was to music, film, fashion and the arts, and how much he meant to me personally, but I found research and writing to be a tremendous salve.
